Walthamstow – A Great Place to Live
The Walthamstow shopping scene is diverse and contains something for every shopper. From London’s most popular high street stores to longer lasting designer goods, there are plenty of options in this area that will satisfy even the most demanding shoppers. A great place to start your day out on The Mall or Selborne Walk would be anywhere from Debenhams Department Store all the way down into Lacquered by Kathmandu which features a huge range of products made locally as well!Walthamstow Market is also a great place for retail therapy, with plenty of everyday godds for sale, stretching across Europe’s longest old Street. After browsing all of these tempting items inside Waltham Forest Town Hall, with its impressive architecture (it was built as an international art museum). Head over to High Street where big name chains like H&M or New Look sit side by side independent boutiques offering something different each time we visit. Our personal favourite being Le Laidbaree because their handcrafted furniture pieces scream Parisian chic while still remaining very true British through modern design trends.
A new William Morris Museum has opened in the area, and it’s becoming clear that this is one place you won’t want to miss. With cafes like The Bell on Forest Road for fine food with a great atmosphere (not too big but still plenty of room), there are museums galore here – including some very old ones!.
Walthamstow Housing
As one of London’s up and coming areas, property prices have yet to catch up with the quality homes in this sleepy town. The Village offers a variety of homes to suit every need and budget. Whether it’s large Victorian terraces, cottages or mid-war semi-detached houses, Walthamstow has what you’re looking for. The south side also features smaller one and two-bed flat conversions, that provide residents with a real opportunity to live in the area.Estate agent windows seem very tempting, as they showcase various properties based on size and preference, with small cosy flats perfect if your favourite activity is reading with tea by candlelight. There are larger, but cheaper options, suited more towards students who still want their own space at manageable rents.
